Hi! My name is Max De la Rocha, and I am twenty-three years old. I am a student at The Master’s Seminary preparing to, by God's grace, become a pastor. I live in Dallas, Texas, with my beautiful wife, Sara, and our two baby daughters. Sara and I have been married for almost four years, and they have been the best years of our lives!

I was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, yet the Lord opened the door for my family and I to move to Dallas, Tx, in 2011. Although I attended church almost every Sunday of my life, it wasn't until I was seventeen that I heard the Gospel for the first time through a youth pastor who invited to Starbucks after a normal school day. My life was completely changed. I had never understood why Jesus had to “die for my sins,” and the idea of deserving hell because of my rebellion against a holy God would have never crossed my mind. I know that, as the youth pastor shared the good news with me, the Lord regenerated my heart.

As soon as I was converted, a deep desire arose in me to teach what I began learning in the Bible. There were even a couple of times when I thought of starting my own church! This was because, unfortunately, no churches around us preached the true Gospel. By the grace of the Lord, it was at this time that I began listening to faithful expositors of the Word and was introduced to sound doctrine. I soon realized that, if I was truly called into the ministry, I needed to be trained to faithfully handle the Word of God.

My wife and I praise the Lord for placing us in the greatest place on earth to be trained for such a task. We are truly grateful for The Master’s Seminary and for our faithful church, Countryside Bible Church, where I have been blessed to do my studies through the TMS satellite campus while being trained as an intern.

My heart breaks to see the lack of faithful churches worldwide and the famine of the knowledge of the Word. It is the desire of my heart to be trained and one day be sent out to pastor a church. I dream of expositing the entire New Testament and of shepherding the same congregation for the rest of my life–if the Lord gives me the life and honor to do so.

To provide for my family and education, I have an art shop on Etsy where I sell portraits of the greatest preachers of old and of our time. I offer portraits of Puritans, Reformers, and missionaries and also Christian-based prints for churches, offices, nurseries, home decor, and for any occasion or setting where a reminder of the Lord’s grace could be placed!

I pray that these artworks may be used to encourage you in the faith. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your kind support.

God bless you!
